Local and state transportation personnel who are no longer on active status but whose
major contributions were made while the individual was an active member in local
transportation operation or state transportation operation and was a member of NCPTA
while employed and whose major contributions and/or in-kind service to NCPTA was
for school transportation safety on a state level is eligible for this award.

One individual will be selected for the NCPTA Trailblazer Award.
The selected individual will be currently employed in pupil transportation in North Carolina and have contributed to NCPTA. The selected individual will be a member of the NCPTA. The selected individual will be recognized for going above and beyond the
job duties by improving pupil transportation. The selected individual must have demonstrated that their “thinking out of the
box” has made a positive impact for school children around North Carolina. An individual who also has made an impact through volunteer efforts to improve a facet(s) in pupil transportation are also eligible for this award.
